I'll tell you how i usually work. First, I will send a basic sketch to let you know that I have started work, after which you will send the payment, then step by step I will send a cleaner sketch, line, fill and final work for approval.

Usually, a single commission takes me from 3 days to a week entirely depending on complexity.
